William Wilson

William Wilson, 89, passed away on January 28, 2021 at Good Samaritan Society - Indianola. He was born in Des Moines on July 19, 1931.

Bill worked as a bricklayer and was a member of the Bricklayers Local 3 for over 50 years. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and restoring cars.

Bill is survived by his children; Bill (Kathy) Wilson, Janet Caldwell and Cathy (Morris) Reynolds; grandchildren, Bill (Holly) Wilson Jr., Candice (Darric) Honnold, Michael (Sue) Wilson and Robert (Jena) Wilson; great grandchildren, Nathan, Torey, Mia, Dominic, Cael, Caden, Luigi, Joviee, Phia and Cami; brother, Jim (Gladys) Wilson and a host of loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Vicky; grandson, Michael Caldwell; parents, Caleb and Grace (Hague) Wilson; siblings, Al, Caleb, Bobby, Mary and Oral Mae Wilson.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Burial will follow at North River Cemetery in Norwalk.
