David J. Kueny

On November 16, 1961, David John Kueny was born in Sioux City Iowa. His parents John and Martha were elated to have their first child arrive on this earth. As David grew, it was obvious he had a passion to understand how things worked and started taking things apart and putting them back together, often making them work better than they did before. He also enjoyed building his own things from scratch, including a go cart that he loved taking his siblings and friends for rides on, usually ending in a fast ride and a quick stop. David also liked to explore, living in not only Iowa, but Texas, California and Arizona. No matter where David lived, he always seemed to make lifelong friends. David had many interests in life. One of his favorites was when he raised exotic animals and even had his own pet tiger. His other interests were listening to music, watching movies, working on his vehicle, camping, fishing, guns and spending time with friends and family.

David completed his career doing what made him happy by working at Evergreen Apartments as maintenance where he could fix and tinker with all kinds of things, his real love.

David's greatest accomplishments were his daughters, Stacy and Hailey, and his grandchildren, Myah, Rhylie and Jordan.

David passed away peacefully at his home on January 26th 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha.

Survivors are his father, John of Marshalltown, IA; brother, Michael of West Des Moines, IA; sisters, Theresa (Jeff) Theis of Gladbrook, IA and Lynette (Kurt) Watts of Davenport, IA. Also missing him are his daughters, Stacy Marks of Iowa City, IA and Hailey Kueny of Tucson, AZ, his grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and too many friends to count.

A memorial will be planned at a later date.
