Naida Lee Snyder-Cooper

Naida Lee Snyder-Cooper, 89, joined her Heavenly Father on January 25, 2021. Services to be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Fellowship Community Church, 224 North Ave, Norwalk at 10:00 AM. Due to COVID, there will be no refreshments or gathering following the services. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

Naida was born December 29, 1931 to Fern (Prescott) and Lee Fitz of Yale, Iowa. She married Robert Wayne Snyder of Perry, Iowa on June 5, 1953 and was married for 42 years. She was a friend to many and a stranger to none. She was a homemaker and mother of five children on the south side of Des Moines. As the children started to leave home, she became a phone operator for North Western Bell Telephone Company where she retired after 22 years of service.

Naida is survived by daughters, Tesa (Mike) Heldenbrand of Winterset, Lesa (Wayne) Brill of Des Moines, Brenda (Dale) Weatherly of Cumming; and son, Robert II (Joan) Snyder of Des Moines. She has 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Nellie Baugh and Linda Kemble both of Panora; husband, Robert and second husband, Tom Cooper of Des Moines; and daughter, Julie Crowe of Des Moines.
