Craig Douglas Stephens, age 65, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021.
Craig was born September 21, 1955 to Walter and Merrilyn (Frost) Stephens. Craig was a drummer and loved music. He was most recently in the local Christian rock band, Joshua. He loved to ride motorcycles and reminisced that the most beautiful place he ever saw was Arizona. Craig loved everything related to audio/visual technology, from building to creating all things tech! He was active in the AA community, with over 25 years of sobriety.
He is survived by his children, Shannon Odenbach (Christian) and Joshua Stephens (Alicia Carbugh-Stephens); grandchildren, Samantha, Charles, William, and Katie; siblings, Margurite, Jeri, and Lori; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Merrilyn Stephens.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, 909 Robert D. Ray Drive, Des Moines in the Dupont Room.

I just learned of Craigs passing today.....we were in a rock band together about 1970...played a couple of bars and frat parties at USD...frank the guitar passed a few years back..the nest group craig was in has lost jeff billar,dale hayes and now craig...may they all keep rocking' in have. RIP old friend
