Larry Lee Fetters, Sr.

Larry Lee Fetters, Sr., age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 22, 2021 due to natural causes.

Larry was born March 26, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. He was a hard worker and a wonderful provider for his family. He loved his family above all else and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He enjoyed classic cars and motorcycles. Larry was well liked and loved by everyone he met.

Larry is survived by his wife, Deborah; children, Tammy (Arnold) Range, Sheila Jacquez, Larry Fetters Jr., Athena (Dean) Higgins; step-children, Larry Fisher Jr., Dawn Green; siblings, Karl (Abby) Fetters, Pennie (Keith) Penner; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Fetters; mother, Leona Little; sister, Judy Bixler; brother, Harold “Punky” Fetters; step-daughter, Pamela Munyon; grandson, Robbie Heathcote; and great-grandchild, Kahlani Brown.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28th, also at Hamilton’s, and will conclude with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
