I posted a message on Nextdoor letting people know, and I thought maybe you would want to read it:
I found out recently that a long-time, or so it seemed to me, Nextdoor Neighbor will not post here again.
Many of you probably read Debby Dunegan's posts and found her a warm, generous, and slightly feisty spirit. She cared very much about her husband, and even got frustrated with him, the way you do only when you care so much. She had reached out here asking for prayers for him when he was ill, and many responded. My guess is that would be her request now, in lieu of flowers, as they say. She liked growing her own flowers, and vegetables, also. She was careful with her spending, and sought and shared her advice here. She also shared her humor.
Edit: I forgot to mention, she also doted on her pets, which definitely did not include the raccoons which invaded the garage. One of her dogs passed a few months ago. Edit ends.
I hesitated to post this because I worry that someone, some lurker, might take advantage of the situation. That said, there's no need for such a despicable person to find that information on Nextdoor, when it can be found elsewhere.

I'm sorry I didn't reach out sooner.

Last spring, when David was in the hospital, Debra got on the neighborhood app and asked for prayers for her husband. I answered and told her my husband was in the hospital too. We both prayed for our husbands, David went home to Debra and my husband went to his heavenly home. Debra sent a sympathy card through the mail with money to buy a red rose 🌹 bush in remembrance of my husband... You see my husband brought me flowers every Friday in the first year of our marriage. I cried when I received and read the card. Debra was the angel that I told people about at my husbands celebration of life. I even sent her a photo book with a photo of the rose 🌹 bush. I never got the privilege of meeting her in person but I know she truly was an angel!! My prayers now, is for the family of Debra to find peace in this time of sorrow and pray that you find comfort knowing and remembering what a special woman she was.
