Brian Ray Speicher, 28, was born October 1, 1980 in Des Moines and passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 of a severe lung infection at Broadlawns Medical Center.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Raeann Speicher; mother, Cindy Geery; father, Doug Speicher; and step-fathers, Darroll Geery and Steve Wright. Funeral services are pending.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Hamilton's Funeral Home to be forwarded on to Brian's family.

I would like to thank all of you for your condolences and cards.
Brian was so ready to change his life around even though it ment
to be away from his family, Reanne, and friends for a year. He
had a heart of gold, and those of us that really knew Brian never
doubted that. Brian and I have been through so much together throughout
our lifes, I had to use alot of what they call Tough Love with him,
but we spoke almost every day, know matter what he was going through.
May dayes are so very empty right now, I miss him so so much.
I am having such a hard time understanding why he was taken from
me so young and without a warning, But I know in my heart he knew how
much he was loved. He loved his daughter so much, and she was the world to him. He was such a good dad. She will have alot of good memories of Brian, that is one thing he made sure of each day he had her. I know it is also
very hard for all of Brians friends when you all lose someone so very young
also, remember his memories. Hope to see you all at Wakos in honor of Brian.

I am greatly saddened by Brians death. I have such great memories of us back in the Cross country days as young men. He was always a strong minded, caring young man and will be missed. May god be with you Brian.

I'm still speechless because of this! I have been searching my house because I knew he left 'writings' and letters around when he lived with me a yr and a half ago. I found them! Some were found in envelopes tucked away in different drawers. And others, I found in a tablet. He was always writing! I read them and they made me laugh, they made me cry and some mad me mad! But those that made me mad....also made me SMILE because that was just Brian being himself!! What an amazing man....WITH AN AMAZING HEART!!!!!!

I am very sorry to hear about Brian's death. He was a great friend and will be missed by many. I remember how much he bragged about his little girl! I don't think I have ever meant a father who was more proud of his daughter then Brian. My heart goes out to his family especially his daughter!

I was so saddened to hear of Brian's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and especially his daughter. I know your Daddy was very proud of you. I enjoyed going to the park with you both a few years ago. It was great watching him play with you. Even though you can't see him, he will always be with you.

I want to express my sincere sympathy for Brian's family, as he was a wonderful person who touched many people. Brian taught me what spirituality meant in the deepest ways and his faith will provide a beautiful place for him in his new life.
