Kayden R. Daniels

Kayden R. Daniels, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on March 30, 2004, to Marla Grote and Kyle Daniels.
Kayden attended Ankeny High School where he loved playing football, basketball, and participating in track. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family, especially his sister Kali. Kayden was also an avid gamer and music lover.
He is survived by his mom, Marla; dad, Kyle (Tabatha Nelson); his older sister, Kali; grandparents, Bill and Jane Grote and Janice and Dennis Meyer; great-grandma, Betty Grote; as well as other loving family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Out of respect for the family and others, masks and social distancing will be required.
A private family service will be held.
Memorial contributions will be received by the family for a future designation in honor of Kayden.
Through organ and tissue donation, Kayden was able to give the gift of life to others, a generous action that will always be remembered.
