Service Details

James Earl "Jimmy" Oppenheim passed away peacefully at his home on September 2, 2009.
Jimmy was born on July 30, 1940 to Harry and Marjorie "Effa" Halstead. My father was a very kind hearted man that cared about anyone that ever needed help and was always there. He was a very kind hearted and generous soul that took in step-children and friends especially friends like, Neil Bitting and other great people in his life that cared about him and he embraced everyone that crossed his path.
James really enjoyed golfing, cooking which he was really great at, and watching good films, especially war films and he had a soft spot in his heart for animals. He was a Shriner.
Jimmy our dad and friend is survived by his daughter, Jamie Su Oppenheim; sons, Harry and Thad (Jody A.) Oppenheim; his brother, Danny David Oppenheim, which he loved very dearly; grandchildren, Megan Michael Oppenheim and Anthony James Oppenheim; great-grandson, Devon Michael Beatsle; grandchildren, Aden James Baker, Laila Idalis Oppenheim, Christopher and Kayla Byers; nieces, Holly (John) Abromovich and Lana (Tom) Schlapkohl; and nephew, Lance Oppenheim.
