Michael Douglas Ragan

Michael Douglas Ragan was born August 21, 1962 and passed away January 11, 2021.

He was the youngest son of Jack and Jane Ragan of Des Moines whom preceded him in death.

Michael as a young child was always full of life and energy but he had so many hardships throughout his life. He loved to draw and he loved his coffee as well as wrestling and sci-fi movies. He always had a story to tell whether real or not at least he made you laugh.

Michael is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Jerry Ragan, Marjorie and James Porter, Debra Ragan, Tambra and Dennis Leadley and Terri Ragan; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Melinda and Kevin Branham, Lindsey and Jason Monroe, Marcus Porter, Sarah and Joe Ratliff, Joshua Ragan and Kristen Ragan; aunts, Twlya Dawson, Judy Hull, and Mary Ragan; uncle, Joe Ragan and his wife, Debbie; and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street in Des Moines with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Michael will be laid to rest with his parents at Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville, Iowa.
