Chris Daniel Sorensen, 61, of Ankeny passed away January 5, 2021.

He was born on June 30, 1959, in Des Moines to Kenneth and Delores (Sparks) Sorensen. He graduated in 1978 from Saydel HS. Chris lived his life in the Des Moines area.

Chris’ family was most important to him. Spending time with them was so special to him. He loved his family and pets very much. Chris really enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.
Chris is survived by his wife Sheryl of 18 years; his daughters Alisha (Amy) Boyt, Jackie (Devin) Schroeder and son Christopher (Ashley) Sorensen; 8 grandchildren; his brothers Greg (Paula) Sorensen, Curt Sorensen; his sisters Sheila (Steve) Vitiritto and Kennette (D.J) Bowers, as well as many other loving family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Delores and a brother Marty Sorensen.

Hamilton’s is assisting with a cremation.
