Keith McPhee

Keith McPhee, 57, passed away January 4, 2021 at Mercy One Medical Center. Per his request, his body has been cremated and no services are planned.

Keith was born January 14, 1963 in Des Moines, the middle child of Walter and Beverly (Ludwig) McPhee. As a child, he loved being outdoors. Keith graduated from Scavo High School. He served in the U.S. Navy, during which time he traveled to Egypt, Turkey, Spain and Italy. Keith later earned his trade certificate from Lincoln Tech. He was currently working for James W. Bell Construction Equipment where he had worked for over 30 years. Keith loved helping people and was a pet lover his entire life. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.

In 1988, he met Mary Lenhart. Their first date was at the Iowa State Fair. They were married on January 14, 1989. The couple was blessed with two children, Amanda in 1989 and Sean in 1996.

Keith is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Amanda and Sean; siblings, Pat (Kelly) and Tina (Greg); and a host of dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
