Frances Pauline Tew

Frances P. Tew, 78, passed away surrounded by family Tuesday, September 1, at the Kavanagh on 56th Hospice Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 5, with a visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 S.W. 9th.
She was born on November 6, 1930 to Hilda and Martin Tew Sr. in Des Moines, Iowa. She spent all of her life in Des Moines where she enjoyed playing cards, going to Prairie Meadows, family gatherings, watching the children, and was an avid bowler.
Frances is survived by her brother, Martin (Mary) Tew Jr., sisters, Helen Hodson, Edra Tew, Grace Tew, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother Paul Tew.
Memorial contributions may be directed toward the Kavanagh Hospice House on 56th, or the American Heart Association.
