Violet Kramer

Violet Kramer, 87, died Monday, August 31, 2009 at her home in Ankeny. Violet was born on March 17, 1922 to Edwin and Marie Arbtin in Des Moines, Iowa.
Violet graduated from North High School. She worked at the Ordnance Plant during World War II and was a homemaker. Violet was happily married to Richard for 37 years and resided in Des Moines, Boone and Ankeny.
Violet is survived by four children, Ron Kramer, Gary Kramer, Lori Kramer-Lydon and Jack (Belinda) Kramer; seven grandchildren, Janeen, Richard (Karen), Chris, DeAnn, Jim (Melissa), Lauren and Nathan; 12 great-grandchildren, Adam, Casey, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Kristen, Tyler, Jacob, Quinten, Benjamin, Nicholas, Cailah and Sean; and sister, June. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; and her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 510 E 1st Street, Ankeny, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. A visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
