David C. Harris

David Charles Harris, age 58, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at his home in Des Moines.

David was born September 4, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa to Jack Sr. and Beverly (Hollen) Harris. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and had been employed as a Journeyman Plumber.

He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his father, Jack L. Harris, Sr.; siblings, Sharon Wrigley, Jack Harris, Jr. (Jana), and Michael Harris (Tanya); brother-in-law, Steve Hoag; nephews, Justin Hoag (Leah) and Jeffery Hoag (Bonnie); and four great-nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Harris; and his sister, Judy Hoag.

There will be no services held at this time. He will be laid to rest at Munyon Cemetery in Grand River at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in honor of David’s love of cats and dogs.

I became friends with Dave many years ago and did his lawn care ever since. He was funny and a good guy. So sad to hear of his passing. R.I.P. little bitty buddy Dave.
