H.L. Jensen

H.L. Jensen, 91, passed away December 22, 2020 at Trinity Center at Luther Park. Per his wishes, no services are planned at this time.

H.L. was born December 26, 1928, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the only child of Leroy “Roy” and Leila (Drissell) Jensen. He graduated in 1946 from East High in Salt Lake City. H.L. earned his pilot’s license before he had a driver’s license. He served in the US Air Force. On August 8, 1954, he married Dolores “Dee” Lumley in Jackson, Wyoming. H.L. served in the Wyoming Legislature for 14 years and was the Executive Director of the Wyoming Cable TV Association. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Order as well as a Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. H.L. loved to watch football and spend time with his family.

H.L. is survived by his son, Mike (Nancy) Jensen; step-daughter, Shine (Dick) Amsk; seven grandchildren, Eric Jacobs, Amber Jacobs, Ryan Sample, Mike Sample, Kenda Hinrichsen, Jennisa Jensen and Holly Jensen; great-grandchildren, Will Hinrichsen, Luke Hinrichsen, Chelsea Hinrichsen, Aubri Jensen, Jayde Hunger, Ari Ramos, Haley Jacobs, Brittany Jacobs, Maria Garcia, Alec Garcia, Ashten Sample and Kel Underwood; and great-great-grandson, Grayson Jacobs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Dolores Ann “Dee” Jensen.
