Norma Mae Schuler
December 21, 2020
Norma Mae Schuler, 89, passed away peacefully December 21, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was born September 16, 1931 along with her twin brother, Norman Ray Schuler, in Des Moines, Iowa where she lived her entire life. She was born to Eunice (Marks) and Joseph Schuler. Norma graduated from East High School in 1951 and went on to pursue a position as a screen printer for Bob Allen Textiles for 32 years before her retirement.
Norma gave birth to a set of identical twins (Pam and Tam) to whom she unselfishly gave her heart and soul. Norma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at the Holiday gatherings and summer picnics on the patio. She enjoyed spending time at Prairie Meadows, crocheting, puzzles, collecting snowmen, and watching her favorite shows – The Golden Girls and Jeopardy. She was very religious and read her Bible every day. To her grandkids, she was Grandma; to her nieces and nephews, she was Aunt Cupie; to her daughters, Pam and Tam, she was the WORLD.
This dear treasured lady will be greatly missed by her daughters, Pamela Benning and Tamara Ackelson; grandchildren, Candace (David) McCarthy, Christopher (Alicia) Benning, Crystal (Jack) Kirkpatrick and Melanie (Christian) McCoy; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Caleb, Trenton, Brieanna, Silas, Makayla, Tyler Ann, Devin, Andrew and Angel; and many nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eunice Schuler and siblings, Norman Schuler, Donald Schuler, Helen Clark, Jack Schuler and Shirley Andrews. She will be in our thoughts and prayers until we meet again.
Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

Girls, so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Your Mom had the biggest heart for such a little lady. She was a hard worker, as I met your Mom when we worked together at Bob Allen Companies. So happy we were able to reconnect. I enjoyed seeing her. God Bless. Take care of each other.
