Glenna Turk

Glenna Rose Turk passed away Tuesday, December 22, on her 88th birthday.
For the safety of friends and family, no visitation or memorial service will be held. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Glenna was born on December 22, 1932, in Washington, Iowa to Joseph and Marguerite Hines. She grew up and attended school in Washington. Glenna was married for 51 years to Marvin Turk before his passing in 2009. Together they raised a loving family of 7. Glenna sacrificed over 50 years of her adult life in the caring of her special needs daughter, Martina, who passed in 2014. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren along with several dogs.
Glenna is survived by her children, Kevin (Susan), and Kalen, Karen, and Josette Benge (Jeff); her grandchildren Kelli (Alex), Bradley (Lindsay), Kristin (Nadir), Jared (Elizibeth), Zach (Caela), and Justin; great grandchildren Mayer, Kinnick, and Kohen.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin and daughter Martina along with her parents and siblings Don, Joseph, Harry, Ken, Martha, Carol, Lois, and Vivian.
Our entire family would like to thank the staff at Norwalk Nursing and Rehab for the care given to our mother in her later years.

My deepest condolences to Kevin and all of Glenna's family and those who loved her. I have many great teenage memories of time spent at the Turk home and Glenna's energy, warmth and sense of humor. My sympathies for your loss.
