David Armstrong

David Richard Armstrong, 62, died on August 22, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at Glendale Cemetery.
David was born Jan 6, 1947 to Virgil V & Bernice (Higgins) Armstrong. He was a gentle soul who loved his family. He also loved animals, especially the dogs, all named Fred, who shared life with him over the years.
David is survived by his sister, Mary Cornelison of Des Moines; brothers, Charlie "Tom" and his wife, Ilean of Kingwood, TX and Bill and his wife, Beverly of Oshkosh, WI. He is further survived by many nieces & nephews whom he loved dearly. David was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Guy, Virgil W, John, Orville E, Donald, and Ronald; and sisters, Colleen Armstrong and Helen McClain.
The siblings all knew that David, the baby of the large family, was clearly the favorite and finds comfort in knowing that he is now well, at peace and at rest with his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
