Alan Johnson

Alan Edward Johnson, retired Navy, passed away on January 29, 2007 after a battle with cancer at the age of 62. Beloved son of Norma (Johnson) Laberee and the late Russell Johnson, and the step-son of the late Lyle Laberee. Survived by his brothers Jerry Johnson and Roy Johnson, and his sisters Sherry Barns and Gail Myers, as well as many nephews and nieces. Also remembered fondly by Tyalmas Helmon “T-Bone”, his wife Abby and their children.
A memorial celebration of Alan’s life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 5806 Meredith Drive, Des Moines IA from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. A graveside memorial with Military rites will be held in Wagner, SD on Monday, February 12, 2007, 1:00 pm at Wagner ZCBJ Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at Wagner VFW Post 7319 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society - Charles Mix County Relay for Life, 1100 North Foster, Mitchell, SD 57301 would be appreciated.
