Lillie F. Allen

Lillie Allen, 89, of Des Moines passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 26, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with a burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home, 605 Lyon St.
She is survived by her brother; Kenneth Reed, daughter; Joan Bunce, five grandchildren; Raymond (Pam) Carter, Tony (Stacy) Jeffries, Ernie (Rose) Carter, Julie (Richard) Smithart, Missy (Dean) Swartslander, 16 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Lillie is preceded in death by her husband Ernie Allen, daughter, Carolyn Hess, parents Andrew and Laura Reed, five brothers, and two sisters.
