Helen Whorton Brown

Helen Brown 95, formerly of Des Moines, Iowa and living in San Marcos, California was born January 16, 1914 in Unionville, Putnam County, Missouri and died August 19, 2009 at the La Paloma Convalescent Home in Vista California.
She was preceded in death by parents Abraham Barnes Whorton and Margaret "Maggie" Busbee, her husband Frank Doyle Brown (1972), and her sisters Eunice White and eldest sister Virginia McKinley. She is survived by her three children Franklin D. Brown, Jr. of Des Moines; Tom C. Brown of San Marcos, California and Rose Linda Tallent of Temecula, California, fourteen grandchildren; Bonnie Essenfled, of Fallbrook, CA, Randy Brown, Ted Brown, Lydia Brown and Dallas Brown of Des Moines, Kim Henson, Theresa West, Tom C. Brown, Jr., Gregory Brown, Angela Brown, Daniel Brown, Jonathan Griffeth, Lisa Griffeth, and Cody Tallent of southern California, and 28 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from the Masonic Cemetery.
