Service Details
Nathan Robert Jones Sr., 28, died Friday, August 14, 2009 at his home. A memorial service will held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2009 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St. in Des Moines, with burial at Norwalk Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Nathan was born April 22, 1981 to Robin Malloy and Robert Jones, Jr. He loved working as a trim carpenter. He also loved fishing, cooking, sharing coffee with his sister, and playing in pool tournaments. He enjoyed family time, especially with his four wonderful children. He was a very loving father.
Nathan is survived by his children: Karen Anna Mae Jones, Collin Robert Jones, Julian Cecil Jones, and Nathan Robert Jones, Jr.; his mother, Robin Malloy; his father, Robert Jones, Jr.; his sister, Sarah Jones; his brother, Joseph Jones; His uncles: Robert (Dina), Michael, and Patrick (Renee) Malloy. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert and Karen Malloy, Sr.; and his great-grandparents: Warren and Ann Schoff.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Nathan.

I want to thank all of the people who had a moment of silence for my brother...There will always be questions with no answers but now he knows how much he was truleyloved...He is so beautiful that's all I can say..

I am very sadden by the loss of Nathan, I know he is in a better place.
I am very grateful we have had him with us for a few family get-togethers.

Words cannot do justice the heartbreak and utter sadness I feel for the loss of a good friend and my heart reaches out to Nathan's family and children. I don't always express myself in the best of ways but know that I loved you as a good friend and fellow competitor. Nate you were good people and I hope you're in a better place now and at peace.
