Carol M. Piper

Carol Marie Piper was born November 9, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the daughter of Randall Ray and Donnabelle Marie (Thorpe) Lampman. Carol attended East High School until her marriage to Ronald Christopher Piper Sr. at age 17. Carol’s family was most important to her and she took great pride in keeping a nice home and taking care of her family. She loved trips to Minnesota with her husband and children when they were younger, She enjoyed old western movies, especially musicals and John Wayne and was an avid Elvis Presley fan.

Carol passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the age of 80. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Christina Segovia, Ronald (Debra) Piper, Jr., Donald Piper, and Kimberly Piper; ten grandchildren;(Ronald, Joshua, Jared, Heather, Donald, Stephanie, Javier, Christopher, Alicia, and Anthony), many great -grandchildren, her siblings, Larry Lampman and Jalona Lampman; numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family members.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ronald Piper Sr. in May of 2015; her parents, Randall Lampman and Donnabelle Zepeda; step-father, Onissimo Zepeda; and her brothers, Jimmy, Garry, and Paul Lampman.

Per Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
