Roger F. Kriebs
December 09, 2020
Roger Kriebs was born in Elkport, Iowa on October 31, 1927. He graduated from Elkader High School and immediately enlisted in the US Marine Corps. Following his discharge, he joined the US Air Force Reserves and was called into active duty during the Korean War.
Roger spent most of his working years in sales and enjoyed interacting with people. He and his wife, Lois, shared 48 loving years together. Roger treasured the years living at Lake Panorama, especially when the grandkids came for “Grandchildren Week”. He was a proud Hawkeye fan.
Family and friends were very important to Roger (affectionately known as “Bops” by many) and his coffee time with Scottish Rite Park buddies was particularly special. He was a faithful member of Plymouth Congregational UCC.
Roger will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lois; and their children, Linda (Sam) Hatmacher; Pam (Rick) Prenger; Roger (Dana Neumann) Kriebs; Kathryn (Robert) Lynn; Kurt (Heather) Miller; Karlan (Ken) Mergl; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Plymouth Congregational UCC. Memorial donations may be made to Plymouth Congregational Church Foundation or Scottish Rite Park Good Life Fund.
Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

Saddened by Roger's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lois and family plus friends and colleagues.
I will always remember the good times we shared with others in the reading room of Scottish Rite Park and playing cribbage on the 12th floor of the same place.
Great guy and completel down to earth. He will be definitely missed.

Lois, one of my fondest memories of Roger is when you were looking at your new home and he shut the closet door on you. His wit, gift of gab and cheery disposition has always been some of his fondest trates. You both were good ambasadors for SRP, as you know I have told your story over and over about the top floor v.s. the lower floor. Thank you for sharing part of your lives with me, he will be truly missed by all.

My fondest memory of Roger is the night he earned his Life Masters in bridge. He was grinning ear to ear! It was so fun to be part of Kriebs' team.

We were so very sorry to learn of Roger's passing. We enjoyed talking to him (with lots of teasing going back and forth) at the 5:30 service at Plymouth. He was wonderfully kind and will be missed.
