On December 6, 2020, his 83rd birthday, Charles House went home to the Lord.
Chuck was born December 6, 1937, in Wasioja, MN to William and Bethel House. He graduated from Coggon High School and Iowa State University, majoring in Dairy and Food Technology.
Chuck and Gloria (Mangold) House were married August 16, 1959 and raised 3 sons. They were married for 61 years. He was employed by Carnation Co., Milnot Co. and Diamond Crystal Specialty Foods.
Chuck loved his family dearly. Many memories were made with his sons as their Boy Scout leader, boating and working on cars. He loved golfing, playing cards, games and RV-ing.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; sons, Steven House, El Reno, OK, David (Lori) House, Thornton, CO and Allen House, Ankeny, IA; grandchildren, Austin, Eric, Sidney and Jacob House; brother, Vernon House, Tripoli, IA and sister, Marilyn Wolcott, Johnson City, TN, along with many other loving family members. Proceeding him in death were his parents; brother-in-law, Bob Wolcott; sisters-in-law, Barbara House and Linda Showman and parents-in-law, Ed and Harriet Mangold.
A memorial service with burial will be held in the spring at Golden Congregational Church, Ryan, IA.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League or Golden Church.

Gloria: Sorry,Sorry....I just heard/read about Chuck passing, needless to say I was shocked and saddened. as a neighbor and friend I have wonderful memories of the fun we had playing golf, sitting in back yard talking and drinking a beer or two.. Chuck making Mac & Cheese with hot dogs (great lunch), Again I'm so sorry for your loss....

i am so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband. We had not been able to see you at support grooup. i looked for you as i drove by your home. this is such a hard time
