David W. Jensen

David Jensen, 74, died Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. He was born March 21, 1946 and lived most of his life in Des Moines.

David drove truck for the same company, formerly Ingle Hauling, for over 45 years. He never missed an opportunity to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes sports and enjoyed cooking out with friends, watching old Westerns, and loving on his animals. David’s greatest joy came from being with family, especially his grandchildren.

David is survived by his son, David (Hilarie) Todd; grandchildren, Riley (Alyssa) Todd, William Belger, and Kacie Belger; great-grandson, Jonah David Todd; sisters, Tammy Jensen and Millie Dennis; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of other loving family and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores (Dee); daughter, Kate Belger; two sisters; and an infant brother.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7601 Fleur Dr, Des Moines.

I met Dave and his family through church , he will always be remembered as a kind and generours man. My prayes go out to the family out this time of loss.I know he is at peace as he is back with his wife and daughter. Thank You God for the Angel you gave us here on earth and now with his wings to watch over us.

I am saddened to hear of Dave's passing. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was a wonderful guy! Good Bye, Dave. We will miss you.
