Thomas Leo May, 50, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 due to complications of Covid-19.
Thomas was born January 14, 1970, to his wonderful parents, Patrick and Carolyn May. He was a lifetime resident of Des Moines. Thomas was a master automotive technician, who graduated from DMACC in 1991. He was a beloved member of Christ the King Catholic Church, as well as a proud member of a motorcycle club, formerly known as the Mad Ryderz. Some of his favorite hobbies, and activities included being a number one fan of the band Kiss and listening to his favorite song, “Beth” by Kiss. He loved soccer, Mountain Dew and spending time with his two girls.
Thomas is survived by his two daughters, Jessica (Kylee) and Shayla; mother, Carolyn May; brothers, Todd, Paul and twin brother, Philip; as well as many nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick May.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street.

My dear friend, you will deeply be missed. running into you in front of Fareway and talking for an hour, or on messenger through facebook wasn't enough. We always think we might have one more day, one more minute, but we are never promised that. I wish I had gotten just a little more time to talk about the good old days.

Tom has always been an amazing friend. when our daughter's were teenagers we leaned on each other to help each other and help them. Thank you Tom for coffee dates. Giggitty. you will truely be missed.
