Michael "Mike" Morning

Michael “Mike” Morning, 63, passed away on December 4, 2020, at his home.

His family will greet friends from 9-10 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines with the service to begin at 10 a.m. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mike was born on March 8, 1957, in Des Moines, IA to Max and Mary Morning. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.

Mike loved the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed watching them whenever they played.

He was preceded in death by father; maternal grandparents, Doc and Thelma Lawler, and his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Dorothy Clark. Mike is lovingly remembered by his mother; his life partner Mary Raymond; his children Jennifer (Martin) Pierson of Tampa, FL and Nick Morning (Lacey Formaro) of Des Moines; grandchildren Hope Requeno, Julia Requeno, Carter Morning and Armani Morning; his sister Linda Hendricks; nephew Ace Hendricks; great-nephews Scotty Jackson and Pacen Hendricks; his uncle Richard (Judy) Lawler of Texas, as well as many cousins and friends.
