Service Details
Mark David Silver passed away on December 3, 2020. Mark was born on December 20, 1967 and was a graduate of Ankeny High School. He continued his education, earning his degree at Drake University.
Mark was a longtime resident of Ankeny and the Des Moines community. He was an avid sports fan and loved to root for all of the Iowa college teams, as well as his beloved Philadelphia Eagles.
He is survived by his parents, Ken and Jean Silver of Ankeny, brother, Mike (Jamie) Silver of Ankeny, and sister, Valentina Knox of Texas.
In light of the pandemic, there will be a private family service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to a charity of your choice.

i know you are on a beach somewhere enjoying yourself... telling someone about one of your many adventures, laughing, smiling, your voice captivating and alluring as you begin your story . You could draw a crowd ....anyone with in earshot of you was hooked at, "Let me tell you about the time i went to this concert at hilton colasium"....til we meet again...

my heart sank when I saw the news about Mark's passing. I remember seeing how proud Ken was of Mark at our breakfast meetings. My heart and thoughts are with you and your family

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of Mark from high school - he always made me laugh with this incredible sense of humor. You knew it was going to be a lot of fun if Mark was around! I remember getting to know your family while visiting Mark in the hospital after his car accident. You have a very special family and I am so sorry that you are experiencing this pain. Thinking and praying for you all.
