Jack Ryan Terry

Jack Ryan Terry, 41, passed away unexpectedly December 1, 2020 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Jack was born April 13, 1979 in Des Moines, Iowa to Douglas Terry and Dawn (Patten) Roth.
He attended Lincoln High School and earned his GED later in life. Jack was a member of the Laborers Local #177 and worked for Weitz Construction.
Jack was a big teddy bear with a caring soul. He was very artistic. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and hats and fishing with his brother and dad. He was an avid Cubs, Dodgers and Broncos fan. Family meant the world to him and was always eager to help anyone in need.

Jack is survived by his wife, Melissa Terry; children, Nicholas and Nathan Terry; mother, Dawn (Steve) Roth; father, Douglas Terry; siblings, Trevor (Summer) Terry, Amanda Roth, Jessica (Mark) Daughenbaugh, Zachary Roth, and Joshua (Kendall) Roth; maternal grandparents, Jack and JoAnn Patten; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Darlene and Ned Terry; and grandmother, Josephine Vanderstyle.

The family will greet friends Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
