Louise Alexander
November 29, 2020
Louise Alexander took her last breath on this earth Saturday, November 29, 2020 and was welcomed to her Heavenly Home by her Savior Jesus Christ and her friends and relatives who have gone before. She was born August 29, 1923 in Mt. Ayr, Iowa and lived 97 years to bless her three children, seven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Before her own home going, her first husband, Bob Dulany, lost his life while serving in World War Two. Her husband and father of her children, LeRoy Alexander, died in 2013 after 56 years of marriage.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Marie Ferree, her brother, Everett (Yvonne) Ferree, her sister, Vincel (Daryl) Cassidy, her son Tom (Connie) Alexander and her grandson, Jason Alexander. She is survived by her children, Ron (Donna) Alexander, and Maureen (John) Wooden and daughter-in law Connie Alexander (David) Cortner.
Her family will always remember the many meals and desserts Louise prepared for them, the afghans she crocheted and most of all the constant prayers that were made on their behalf. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Ankeny, Iowa.
When she was younger, she served the Lord as Sunday School Teacher and made many Angel Food Cakes for funerals and other church gatherings at Grandview Park Baptist Church. She loved the mountains of Colorado and hiked many of their trails and fished many of their lakes. She was an avid sports fan and was especially excited to see Lute Olsen coach at a game in AZ where she and LeRoy spent several winters.
The care givers at her last residence, Edencrest, let the family know she was so sweet, right to the very end and the family is grateful for their loving care during her stay there.
Private Family Service to be held.

First of all, I should let you know that you'll only know me by my maiden name - Mary Ellen Klaver, your neighbor while growing up. After my father passed away, I was able to spend time on several occasions with both LeRoy and Louise while we were clearing out our house. They were both such wonderful people - and great neighbors! Cambridge Street was a wonderful place to grow up, thanks to parents like ours. Maureen and I spend so much time together and I have some pictures of the 2 of us that I shared with your parents back in 2002. I'm sorry for your loss - it's never easy to lose our parents. I loved reading Louise's obituary. I learned several things about her that I did not know before. Ron and Maureen, please know that you and your families are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Louise was a very sweet lady and always had a sweet smile whenever I saw her at church. I'm sure she is enjoying seeing her wonderful Savior face to face!

God blessed me with a sweet friendship with Louise and LeRoy. Lots of laughter, sweet memories of serving at Grandview and the ways she and LeRoy were kind to my parents and me. Her bright mind and her ongoing love for God and His Word are a great example of finishing well.I'll miss her but am grateful for God's promise that we'll enjoy a grand heavenly reunion one day soon.

I was privileged to know LeRoy and Louise at Community Baptist. Louise and I have birthdays in August and we would give congratulations to each other at that time. I am very thankful I knew her, such a sweet and dear saint who is now in the presence of her Lord, enjoying heaven. My condolences to the family.
