Shirley Darlene Creech, age 86, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at home surrounded by loved ones.

Shirley was born December 11, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa to Harry and Sue (Adams) Brown. She attended school in Sigourney, Iowa. Shirley was united in marriage to Bernard Creech in 1950. She was an active person and enjoyed exercising daily and doing yard work. She was an avid bowler and liked playing Bingo. Shirley loved her family above all else, especially her grandchildren who she helped to raise.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Melissa (Shawn) Snider and Jennifer Creech; great-grandchildren, Derek and Abby; step-great-grandchildren, David, Makayla, and Aurora; sister, Vicki (Jack) Sexton; and several nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Creech; daughters, Debbie Creech and Diana Creech; brothers, Bob Brown and Harry Brown; sisters, Frances Hollingsworth and Patricia Byrd; and her parents, Harry and Sue Brown.

There will be a graveside service Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines.

The family would like to thank Suncrest Hospice, Cynthia, Mary, and Connie, for their loving care of Shirley. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of shirley.
