Service Details
Clinton C. Evans passed away on August 10, 2009. He was born on September 9, 1918 to Verna and Eddy Evans in Lytton, Iowa. Clinton served in the US Air Force and retired in 1983 from Plumb Supply. He was a member of Southgate Lodge, Masonic #657, Scottish Rite, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and WPCI.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Grandstaff; grandchildren, Chris (Shirley) Grandstaff, Laura (Tom) Hollingshead, Sean (Sue) Grandstaff and Ronnie Marturello; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Nina; daughter Patricia Duar; and grandson Kevin Chase.
Services will be at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA. The visitation will be held on Friday, August 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. and the funeral service on Saturday, August 15 at 11:00 a.m.

Sandy and family-
Wanted to let you know that i'm thinking of you during this difficult time. I very much enjoyed working with Clint. He was always willing to work hard with me for every Occupational Therapy visit. He always welcomed me into his home and was always interested in knowing what was going on with my children. He was a very loving person with a great heart. Clint was a special man. I have many sweet memories of him, especially with Helen. Even after Helen's dementia had gotten pretty bad, he would still make the effort and drive over to see her. He told me he was in it for the long haul and he meant it. He did his best to take care of her whenever she was sick just as he did with his wife. He was just a nice guy. He reminded me of Tim Conway's impression of the little old man. It took him a long time to get anywhere but he didn't give up. It was so cute when he got up to kiss Helen good bye. He shuffled over to her chair and then inch by inch bent down (always looking like he would topple over)and ended up giving her a one second kiss. They were so cute together. I also remember how much he loved Gigi and how he never thought she did anything wrong.
Clint was a principled, loving and caring man with a great sense of humor.
I was honored to know him.
