Harriett "Betty" Corneau

Harriett “Betty” Corneau, 98, passed away November 22, 2020 at Accura Healthcare of Knoxville.
Betty was born September 26, 1922 in Missouri to Richard and Loretta Hageman. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star – Fenton, MO Chapter #152. She was a breast cancer survivor. Betty enjoyed bowling, playing bridge and going on daily walks, no matter the weather. Betty was an animal lover and spent countless hours volunteering her time at various animal shelters.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Elton) Abbott and Nancy (Gary) Edwards; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and her niece, Joannie Rawson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; brother, Gregory Richard Hageman; and her cousin, Beverly Caruso.
The family will greet friends Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street with a graveside service to follow at Glendale Cemetery. The family respectfully requests guests wear masks and practice social distancing.
Memorial contributions may be directed to an animal shelter of the donor’s choice or to the Eastern Star – Fenton, MO Chapter #152 in loving memory of Betty.

Betty was such a good friend when I was growing up. We would go to baseball games together, shop together, play games and laugh together. She was like a grandmother to me. I will miss her dearly and will be thinking of you all during this difficult time.
