Bert Johnson, age 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born the son of Bert and Noretta Johnson on June 3, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa. Bert worked as a drywall subcontractor for 30+ years and retired in 1995.

He is lovingly survived by his children, Vicky Hoffer, Pam Johnson, Ralph Johnson, Richard Voshell, Mike Voshell, Steve Voshell. Tim Voshell, and Debra Voshell; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 51 years, Gloria; and his son, Bert Johnson, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2020 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Cremation will follow.
