Veralie Norris

Veralie Norris, 73, died Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Veralie was born March 24, 1936 in Des Moines to Cecil and Alma (Lane) Johnston.
Veralie is survived by her daughter, DeAnna Cervantes; grandchildren, Dale Brockman, Andrea Williams, Jenny Olivas and Jack Brants; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Evan Olivas and Kane Brockman; and her brothers, Howard and Fred Johnston. She was preceded in death by her sons, Richard Jordan and Faron Brockman; and siblings, June, Pat, Mike, Velda, Velma and LaVerna.

DeAnna, our prayers and thoughts go out to you with the lose of Farron and your mother. I just saw Faron around May and it was nice talking with him. They will be missed.

I want to express my deepest sympathies for the loss of Ms. Norris. While I never met her, I was a friend of Brock's. I can not even begin to imagine the sadness in your family right now, losing two wonderful people so closely together. Your family is in my prayers, and I hope that God's grace helps pull you through.
