Service Details
Edith Vivian Somers, 87, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial following at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Edith was born October 15, 1921 in What Cheer, IA to Willard and Violet Carico.
Edith is survived by her sons, Dale Somers and Donald (Jeanette) Somers; daughters, Sue (Patrick) Clemenson and Terri (Richard) Schrier; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul and Glen Carico; sisters, Wilma West and Mona Robertson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Somers.
