Elizabeth "Becky" Sanders

Elizabeth "Becky" Sanders, 58, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009 at Kavanagh on 56th. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2009 at Our Lady of the Americas Visitation Chapel, 1271 E. 9th St., with burial at Wallace Cemetery in Wick, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Becky was born December 11, 1950. She was employed by The Member's Group. Becky enjoyed ceramics, quilting and cross stitching but her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother.
Becky is survived by her daughters, Shawn (Ricardo) Ramirez and Nicki (David) Elliott; grandchildren, Andy, Ricardo Jr., Emily, Shelby, Kaitlyn and Anthony; siblings, Roger Sanders, Sarah (Ron) Unser, Jeff (Julie) Sanders, Barb (Tom) Harvey, Cathy (Bill) Newton and Brian (Pat) Sanders; and many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Virginia Sanders.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kavanagh on 56th St.
Becky's family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Behrens at the John Stoddard Cancer Center and to the wonderful loving staff at the Kavanagh House on 56th Street for the excellent care and support they gave to Becky during her illness.
