Arlene Josephine Bell

Arlene Bell, 89, died Saturday, August 1, 2009. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Arlene was born December 9, 1919 to Robert and Edith Randall in Carroll, Iowa. She lived in Carroll with her husband, Russell Taylor, until they moved to Sequim, WA in 1964. She continued to live in Washington after Russell's death in 1966 and married Alse Bell. After Alse's death in 1991, Arlene moved to Des Moines in 1994 to be closer to her children.
Arlene is survived by her sons, Russ (Susan) Taylor of Des Moines, Len (Kristin) Taylor of Red Oak, and Terry Taylor; step-son, John (Diane) Bell of Long View, WA; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Russell Taylor and Alse Bell; brother, Wilford (Kate) Randall; and sister, JoAnn Delivan.
