Bradley Stuart Parker was born on August 8, 1977 in Brunswick, ME and passed away on July 27, 2009 in Palmdale, CA where he lived for the past 2 years.
Brad attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, Hoyt and Merrill Junior Highs, and two years of high school at Roosevelt and Central Academy in Des Moines. He graduated from Osbourn Park High School in Manassas, VA. After graduation he lived and worked in Des Moines until he moved to Palmdale in August 2007. He was a full time honor student at ITT Technical College in Sylmar, CA majoring in internet technology and he was scheduled to receive his Associates Degree at the end of August 2009.
Brad's hobbies included photography, listening to music, watching movies, reading books, collecting comic books, hiking, playing with his cat, Mina, and spending time with his significant other, Nickey. Brad was proud to be listed as an organ donor since he received his first driver's license and he encouraged others to do the same. He would be happy to know that his tissue donation is helping others.
Brad is survived by his mother and step-father, Linda Parker and Russell Eggers of Des Moines; his father and step-mother, Dan and Marie Parker of San Antonio, TX; his grandmother, Pauline Golick of Centerville, IA; his significant other, Nickey Jerricks of Palmdale, CA; his aunts and uncles: Jack and Joyce Parker of Altoona, IA; Dale and Sharon Parker of Sun City, AZ; Steve and Diane Parker of Brunswick, GA; Ed and Eileen Parker of Tempe, AZ; Ron and Carolyn Golick of Hastings, NE; great aunt and uncle Joe and Lee Golick of Bolingbrook, IL; and many relatives and friends around the country. Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Olney and Carmen Parker of Des Moines; and his grandfather Frank Golick of Centerville, Iowa.
Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday, August 6 at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 7 at the funeral home. Following his cremation interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday August 8th at 9 A.M.
