William White

William L. "Bill" White, 68, of Des Moines passed away on July 28, 2009 at the Bright Kavanagh Hospice House. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church. The family will greet friends following the Mass at the Christ the King Parish Hall. Private family graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Bill had worked at Library Binding Services/Corporate Image for 42 years and was a Viet Nam veteran serving in the Army 1st Air Calv. He was an avid horse racing fan and enjoyed all wildlife. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son Bill (Tracy) White of Des Moines, his sisters Shirley (Earle) Deits of Napa Valley, California, Pat (Richard) Chase of Denver, Colorado and Janis (Phil) McKinley of Des Moines and his brother Terry White of Des Moines.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Central Iowa Bright Kavanagh House.
