Ardeth Irene Hopkey

Ardeth Hopkey, 78, died peacefully Monday, July 27, 2009 at Westview Care Center in Indianola, Iowa. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Ardeth was born August 7, 1930 to Irene and Charles Upchurch in Colo, Iowa. She worked as a Medical Lab Technician for the VA Hospital for 30 years and she also worked for the Des Moines Blood Bank. She was a member of the Colo Methodist Church.
Ardeth is survived by her sister, Shirley (Wally) Duffy of Arizona; her brother-in-law Ted (Valerie) Diehl of Indianola; and four nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ardell Hopkey; sister, Ann Diehl; and her cat, Susie.
