Josephine “Jody” Wilts
Of Des Moines, Iowa
Josephine Wilts, age 82, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She was born the daughter of Preciliano and Antonia Martinez on August 23, 1938 in Blue Earth, Minnesota.
Jody was an avid reader, talented artist and enjoyed embroidering. In her free time, she liked shopping and going to garage sales. She would always say that there wasn’t a pastry she did not love! She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 53 years, Dick; daughter Cindy (Randy) Andreini; sons, Frank (Jolene) Wilts and John Wilts; grandchildren, Bethanie, Brian, Brianna, Mckinna, Bailee, Jenna, Abbie, Sofia, Ava, Blake, and Adriana; great-grandchildren, Karlie and Bentlie; her beloved grand-fur-baby, Libby; her four siblings; and a host of extended family and friends.
Jody was preceded in death by her parents; and her loving brothers and sisters.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in memory of Jody.
Private family service will be held 11 am, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Interment will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Indianola.
