Christina Joann Thompson

Christina Joann Thompson, a lifelong resident of Des Moines, IA passed away unexpectedly on November 5th, 2020 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Christina was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 7th, 1959. She was a graduate of East High School, class of 1977. Upon graduation, Christina worked for the State of Iowa/Department of Corrections and Firestone Tire as an administrative assistant.

Christina had a great love for animals, people and her family. She enjoyed crafting, painting, gardening and spending time with her dogs.

She is survived by her husband Roger Tinkle, daughters Brandan Thompson and BreAnn Whitaker, sister Rebecca (Al) Peters, niece Larra (Marinko) Petersen-Lukenda and nephew Shane Petersen. Christina was predeceased by her parents John and Joyce Walsh.

Friends, family and others whose lives were touched by Christina are invited to the visitation which will be held at Hamilton's Funeral home at 605 Lyon St on November 12th from 5-7pm.
