Sue (Fry) Reynolds
October 24, 2020
Sue Ellen (Fry) Reynolds, 56, passed away on October 24, 2020, with her loving husband and family by her side. She was born in Des Moines, on January 29, 1964, to parents Gordon and Alice Fry. Sue was a graduate of Southeast Polk High School and received her associate degree in Medical Transcription from Hamilton College.
Sue married Bob on October 23, 1982, and shortly after, followed the birth of her two sons Bobby and Bryan.
Sue was a devoted mother who cherished time spent with her family. She especially enjoyed spoiling her two grandchildren, Lilly and Blake. Sue was an avid fan of football, including the Kansas City Chiefs and Iowa Hawkeyes. She enjoyed spending time outdoors doing yard work, as well as crafting. One of her most treasured moments included cooking Sunday dinners for her family. To unwind, Sue enjoyed listening to rock music, preferably Alice in Chains. Due to her nurturing demeanor, Sue was lovingly referred to by many as “Mom”, which is a role she reveled in.
Sue is survived by her husband, Bob Reynolds; sons, Bobby (Amy) Reynolds and Bryan (Stephanie) Reynolds; and grandchildren Lilly and Blake (Reynolds).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Alice Fry.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
