Freeman "Mike" Brown

Freeman “Mike” Ellwood Brown, Jr, 71, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 16, 1949 to Freeman and Joyce (Cross) Brown in Des Moines.
Mike graduated from SE Polk High School and worked in construction for most of his career. He loved fixing up old cars and showing them off to his friends from the Concrete Cruisers. Mike was a long time member of the NRA and enjoyed making different leather items, especially gun holsters.
Mike is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pamela; children, Michael (Shannon) Brown, Freeman (Tammy) Brown III, and Tammi (Doug) Worthington; grandchildren, Ashley (Kolby) Drees, Heather (Jason) Williams, Jossie (Skylar) Rankin, Tierra (Patrick) Willis, Brandon Worthington, Kaitlin Brown, Kennedy Brown, and Nicholas Brown; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly (Martin) Johnson, Evelyn (Jim) Templeton, and Marge (Butch) Jones; and a host of other loving family and devoted friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandchildren, Jacob Allen Brown and Megan Lynn Brown.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the American Legion Post 2211, 2211 E 42nd St, Des Moines.

So sorry for yor families loss. Although we didn't know Mike that well we know the legacy he came from. Judging from the size of his family he is leaving a legacy of his own. Remember the past and cherish your memories. Revelation 21:4 (TLB)
