Donnie Williams

Donald Clyde Williams, Jr., age 58, passed away peacefully at Taylor House Hospice on Monday, October 19, 2020 due to complications of cancer.

Donnie was born March 16, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa to Donald “Clyde” Williams, Sr. and Judy Kay Haus. He was a hard-working man and business owner. Donnie and his son, Kyle, owned and operated D & K Interiors & Exteriors. He was also employed by CAPP Homes at the same time. He went on to work for Shelter Windows, Windsor Windows, and most recently, Dee Zee in Des Moines as a forklift operator for the past 10 years.

Donnie had a passion for racing. He was a race car driver at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, Stuart, and Boone. He also loved to ride his Harley.

He is survived by his son, Kyle (Nikki) Williams; grandsons, Shane and Seth Williams; mother, Judy Haus; step-father, Sam Haus; sisters, Michele Tegeler and Patty (Glenn Gladson) Williams; step-brothers, Jon Williams and Steve Williams; step-sister, Dena Williams; the mother of his son, Lorna Studer; and a host of other family members and friends.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Williams and his step-mother, Diane Williams.

There will be a memorial visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made directly to the family in loving memory of Donnie.
