Heidi "Susie" Van Wey

Heidi "Susie" Van Wey, 36 died Wednesday July 15, 2009. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 20th at Evangelical Covenant Church, 2625 Hubbell Ave. with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Heidi was born March 8, 1973 in Des Moines and graduated from Carlisle High School in 1991. She volunteered at Cornerstone Church in the daycare program and was an avid volunteer at nursing homes. She loved computer, gardening, children and pets.
She is survived by her grandmother, JoAnn Hunter; mother, Linda Curry; father, Arnold (Patti) Van Wey, Bernard (Barb) Curry; grandfather, Harry W. Hunter; nephew, Koltin Lee Hurd; siblings Andy (Melissa) Van Wey, Erin (Clay) Spieker, Eric (Bethany) Van Wey, Kristen Franklin, Jaime Van Wey, Jeremy Van Wey; aunts and uncles, Keith (Teri) Hunter, Jen (Craig) Berg, Judy (Larry) Osborn, Amanda (Eric) Bello, Jill (Kevin) Thompson, Mona Aeschliman, Tim Hunter, Sam (Marlys) Hunter and many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Heidi was preceded in death by her grandparents, LeRoy (Edna) Van Wey; nephew, Grant Spieker and her beloved dogs Henry and Rusty.
