Beverly Ruth Brandt

Beverly Brandt, 75, passed away at Iowa Methodist Medical Center Saturday, July 11, 2009. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday with family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Beverly was born September 25, 1933 in Des Moines to Peter and Helen (Mahaffey) Bitting. She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and retired in 1993 from Kohl's where she worked as a sales associate. Beverly was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross in Altoona.
Beverly is survived by her sons, Timothy (Marsha) Brandt, Michael Brandt and Dennis (Kim) Brandt; brothers, Floyd, Gerald, Ted, Joe and Wilbur Bitting; sister, Cindy Connors; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Fegter, Dawn Brandt, Michael (Kendra) Brandt, Amy Brandt, Jason (Lisa) Brown, Schelsy (A.J.) Smith and Nick Brandt; nine great-grandchildren; Stephanie, Brandon, Tyler, Riley, Niccole, Wil, Jayden, Coen, and Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert William Brandt; one sister, Marilyn; two brothers, Kenneth and Pete Bitting, Jr. and her pet dog Zeb.
